The return is nigh...........
So 8 months have passed. Much has happened, most of which I will not go into detail about. I have a new job, I have new shoes and I have new priorities. I am no longer driven by the thought of a night in the Krazy House, nor am I motivated by the prospect of severe alcohol consumption. No, the winds of change have swept through me like something really swoopy sweeping through something. The Kray has become a mere inconvenience, where the mediocre level of actual fun has become unworthy of the taxi-treks through deathville, and the after-effects of alcohol a burden not worth the joy (minimal) felt upon intoxication.
However this does not mean I have no direction. Oh no, far from it. The thoughts that get me through a working week have gone yes, but not without replacement, nor without necessity diminishment. As stated, I have a new job. A rewarding, satisfying, almost pleasing job, where I get to have an opinion and an input and to make a difference. Better paid too!!!
The priority changes of which I speak reflect the development and flowering of what is best in my life, in that my thoughts drift off to weeks spent away and years spent at home with the girl I love. Currently saving for a trip to Prague and for a flat in which to nestle, my social involvement may have waned dramatically in the last 6-12 months, but not without good reason. As has my blog regularity, but that is merely down to computer infection gone uncured. The fact that I now have Internet access in my job is the only reason I am able to return to you all, so there’s another reason to jubilate! (I made that word up but it makes sense to us all). *Poetic license used magnificently, even if I do say so myself*
Hopefully, with the Skipster at my aid, my blog will become pretty active again and the life and times of moi will not be such a mystery (although my undeniable mystique will continue to shine through like the proverbial shiny thing). So times are good for those of you who wondered, and for those of you who didn't, well, times are good anyway. So yeah, times are good!!
